Meet the Founder
Founder and CEO of SHADED, Kira discovered her love for sunless tanning in 2019 when she got her first spray tan for a local country music festival. It was game over from there. As a new found tanaholic, her love for the fake bake became a weekly occurrence, into a side hustle, and eventually into a full time passion as the first spray tan salon in the area.
Her mission is to help the community see themselves in a new light while also proactively encouraging safer alternatives to tanning that keeps all the hunnies bronzed, skin cancer free, and looking hot af forever.

Before You Come In
The night before your appointment, shave any unwanted hair and exfoliate head to toe with a proper exfoliating mitt — a Korean exfoliating mitt, not a sugar scrub or loofah. Remove any old tan first. Spraying over old tan is like painting over chipped nail polish.
Day of, arrive clean and product free: no lotions, deodorant, oils, perfumes, or body makeup. They all create a barrier between your skin and the tanning solution. Wash your hair before your appointment, and plan for loose, long, dark clothing afterward.
During your tan, wear whatever makes you comfortable — this is a judgment free room. Male clients are asked to wear underwear or boxers.
After, think loose, dark, and comfy. Avoid bras, jeans, leggings, tight waistbands, socks, or tight closed toe shoes. If you're sleeping before your rinse, wear long sleeves and loose pants to bed.
With proper aftercare, your SHADED tan can last 10–12 days. What you put on your skin matters — most drugstore products contain alcohols, heavy fragrances, sulfates, and parabens that strip your color faster.
While it marinates, avoid skin-to-skin contact, especially palms and fingers. Water stops the development of DHA, so no washing hands, dishes, bathing, or rain until your scheduled rinse. Your first rinse is water only — no body wash, soap, shampoo, or conditioner.
Right after rinsing it may look like all your color disappeared. Totally normal. Your tan keeps developing for 18–24 hours after the rinse.
Your spray tan should be the very last step in your beauty routine. Period. Book massages, waxing, facials, and anything similar at least 4–12 hours before your spray tan appointment.
Cancellations: within 48 hours, 50% of the service. Within 24 hours, the full service charge.
Reschedules: moving to a different day within 48 hours is 50%; moving earlier within 24–48 hours has no fee; a different day within 24 hours is charged in full; same-day reschedules have no fee.
No shows are charged the full service fee, and future appointments may require prepayment. Arriving more than 10 minutes late may mean a technician change, a wait, or a reschedule.
